Carbondale Turkey Trot & Turkey Cross

The Carbondale Turkey Trot or Turkey Cross is a great way to start your Thanksgiving day. This event is a great holiday tradition to run with friends or family. If you are single come out and meet others.

Carbondale Recreation and Community Center hosts the Turkey Trot. There is a 5K – 2 lap run or a 2.5k – 1 lap run available. Both races start at 8am. All participants will get a Turkey Trot Medal, are eligible for the Best Costume Prize (Male, Female, and Youth categories), and the 1st 75 racers to register for either run/walk event will get a cute hand made beanie with our cartoon turkey face. The 5K participants will be eligible for Overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female. These winners will win different passes to the Rec Center. There will also be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for youth, adults, and older adults Male and Female. Additionally there will be an overall last place prize. These winners will all receive a beautiful trophy. Finally we have the grand prize winner. This is the person who comes in exactly in the middle. This winner will get a prize and a $50 gift card to Whole Foods. See below for prices.

Aloha Mountain Cyclery hosts the Turkey Cross. They will kick off the C Class race at 9am. The A and B races will follow. Registration is day of and is $30 for your first race. If you want to compete in two races, you can add the second race for $15. Prizes will be awarded after the races.

Both the Turkey Trot and Turkey Cross are on the same off road course through North Face Park and RFHS grounds. Bonfire, Snacks, and Fun! Register for the Turkey Trot with Carbondale Rec.

This is a canned food drive for Lift-up so a single donation of a non-perishable food item will take $5 off your entry fee.

Packet Pick up: Wednesday, November 25 12-5pm or Thursday, November 26, 7-7:45am
Race Start: 5K and 2.5K both begin at 8am sharp

Race Notes:
-Pre-Registration closes at 12pm on Thursday. You may still register online or in person on the 25th, however you will be charged the Day of Registration rate, and packet pick up will be at the start line the morning of the race.
– Household is considered two adults and 1-4 children from the same household or family. Upon registration please list all runners/walkers plus ages for appropriate race bibs and prizes.
