Recognized internationally as one of the finest collections of gonzo art in the world, the Gonzo Museum displays political posters by activist Thomas W. Benton, shotgun artwork by journalist Hunter S. Thompson, and signed prints by the illustrator Ralph Steadman. The museum collection includes hundreds of works of art, original manuscripts, and a complete set of Aspen Wall Posters from Hunter S. Thompson’s Freak Power campaign for Pitkin County Sheriff in 1970. The Gonzo Museum collection is curated by Daniel Joseph Watkins and located in the Tom Benton building in downtown Aspen, Colorado at 521 East Hyman Ave.
