Hailed as “the best location in the valley,” The Riverside Grill is located in the heart of Basalt, parallel to the Fryingpan River. In contrast to Syzygy, its sister restaurant known for fine dining, The Riverside Grill offers a more casual atmosphere that offers lunch and dinner at very affordable prices.
Owner Walt Harris bought the restaurant and completely remodelled it before opening the doors in the early summer of 2005. He immediately saw the appeal of the restaurant’s location, as it is the only place in town where you can dine while overlooking the Fryingpan River! By listening to the locals who voiced their concern that the new restaurant need to offer good food, affordable prices and personalized service, he created a product and a menu with Executive Chef Martin Oswald, which matches both the needs of the locals and visitors who seek out a picturesque casual dining setting.
