About Us
Tulips Body Waxing Studio is Aspen’s only specialty waxing salon. It was founded in 2007 as a one woman show in a shared space with an established hair stylist. In 2008 Tulips took over the whole space and has continued to grow from there. Tulips currently has two esthetician/massage therapists available, and an aspiring esthetician working her way through school as the receptionist of Tulips.
Berkeley Smith, owner and manager of Tulips Body Waxing Studio, is a Colorado licensed esthetician and massage therapist. She received her massage training at Santa Barbara Bodyworks in Santa Barbara, California. Her esthetics certification was received at The Connecting Point in Telluride, Colorado. For advanced esthetics, with a specialty in waxing, Berkeley was mentored at Box Bodywaxing Boutique in Las Vegas, under Bree Goldwater.
Berkeley grew up in Aspen as well as near Telluride, Colorado. She graduated high school from Aspen High and spent the following 15 years living in Seattle, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Telluride. She returned to the Roaring Fork Valley in June 2007 and opened Tulips Body Waxing Studio in Aspen soon after.

Leanne Bornschlegel grew up in Rifle, Colorado and has been living in Aspen since 2006. She is a Colorado licensed esthetician and massage therapist. She received her massage training in Orange, California, and her esthetics training through a program right here in the Valley! She has worked in several spas in the Aspen area, and continues to work privately in addition to Tulips.

Britny Ferguson grew up in Michigan, as well as, Aspen. She moved to Aspen in 2005, and has been here ever since. She currently is going through a local program to become certified in esthetics, and will then be mentored here at Tulips. She is our receptionist and, additionally, coordinates gym memberships and massage appointments for Jean Robert Gym.
