As we celebrate our 39th year, Krabloonik Restaurant and Dog Sledding has welcomed guests with exquisitely prepared game and fresh fish, an award-winning wine list and spectacular mountain views. All this is savored in the midst of Krabloonik sled-dog teams, leaping and howling in wild anticipation of the run.
Dog sledding dates back over 10,000 years and heralds the first known teamwork between man and animal. Krabloonik is committed to preserving this honorable Alaskan tradition by creating a home for dogs born and bred to run and by sharing with guests the unparalleled excitement of a true Aspen wilderness adventure.
Krabloonik Restaurant is a romantic excursion into the past. The restaurant is housed in a rustic log cabin, set in the spectacular Snowmass mountains with magnificent views of Mt. Daly and Capitol Peak. In winter as you dine, you can watch sled dog teams coming and going. At night, guests can relax and enjoy the ambience of the restaurant in the sunken fire pit.
The Krabloonik menu is a unique offering of exquisitely-prepared wild game and fresh seafood. Choose from such exotic and memorable dishes as elk, pheasant, wild boar, buffalo ribeye, fresh mountain trout and caribou. Signature dishes include Krabloonik’s Legendary Wild Mushroom Soup, Classic Baked Brie with Lingonberry Jam and Bacon-wrapped Noisettes of Caribou.
Also available are freshly baked breads, homemade preserves, and smoked meats from our smokehouse. Desserts are prepared daily in our kitchen. Our Wild Mushroom Soup and homemade preserves are now available to purchase. You can take them with you or arrange for us to ship to any address.
